Before Mario around the world

It has been a bit quiet here. I just noticed that the last post dates from mid November. So, let me start by wishing you all the best for 2015!

As regular readers will know, I have been busy with my book for most of last year. Work started on it started in January of 2014 and the result saw the light of day in October. In the months that followed, I took a little break from writing, but I am determined to pick up more regular blog updates again soon.

I have been overwhelmed by the feedback from readers of the book, many of whom sent me a picture of their copy, together with praise for the book's content and design.

I have shared many of these pictures on the Before Mario Facebook page before, but thought it would be nice to present a selection of my favorites together here.

The Before Mario book has made its way to all corners of the world.

Copies were shipped across Europe, to Japan, to North and South America and to Australia.

From these pictures it is clear that many of book's readers are avid Nintendo collectors themselves.

It is a great joy for me to see the book being embraced this way by fellow Nintendo aficionados.

I made the book for hard core fans as well as for people with a more casual interest in the subject, and I am happy that the response from both groups has been very positive.

It is also hard to believe that my book now adorns hundreds of book shelves around the globe.

It was also nice to see many young children being fascinated by Nintendo's heritage. They are the future fans!

The limited edition of the book with the black cover is now sold out. The 500 copies that were available sold out during the pre-order period, before the book's official launch in November.

More information about the book can be found here.

A big THANK YOU to all who purchased the book. I love to hear what you liked (or didn't like) about it. Special thanks to everybody who sent me a picture of their copy of the book.

I understood from some readers that the shipping took quite some time outside of Europe. I appreciate your patience and hope that books have now found their way into the hands of all who ordered them.

If you have any comments or questions, please let me know!
