Yes, these were definitely intended also as travel games. A number (but not all) of these toys had compartments to store the small pieces, or had magnetic pieces - especially intended for use on the go. Also check out the back of the brochure, shown in the introduction, which shows all sorts of travel scenes.
Hmmm, wonder if these would also work as "travel games" too? :-)
